Our Story
CARARMO started not in a boardroom — but on a factory floor producing ballistic protection for police officers, firefighters, and first responders. That experience led our founder to focus on armoring existing family and business vehicles.
Where It Started
Our background includes manufacturing ballistic protection for police departments, fire services, security agencies and government contractors. Vehicle armoring requires its own coverage plan; experience with body armor does not make every installation or material interchangeable.
We also armored their vehicles. Fleet after fleet, we watched officers and officials drive protected while everyone else on the same streets was completely exposed.
That's when the pattern became impossible to ignore.

The Realization
The vehicle armoring industry has been built around one type of client: heads of state, political figures, and executives operating in active conflict zones. For them, Level IV armor, explosive underlays, and run-flat systems make sense. The price tag — often $80,000 to $150,000+ — reflects that threat model.
A package should be selected for your vehicle, the protection you require and a realistic assessment of the threats involved. A lower-priced retrofit is not interchangeable with a complete armored-vehicle conversion.
Ballistic protection is limited to the material, threats and conditions documented by its tests. A door-panel package does not automatically protect the glass, roof, floor or every opening. Ask for the written coverage plan and limitations before deciding.
We made a conscious decision to keep our prices as low as operationally possible. Not because the quality is lower — the materials are identical to what we produced for law enforcement. But because access to protection shouldn't depend on being famous or wealthy.

Material tests and vehicle coverage are different
NIJ body-armor standards do not certify an entire vehicle. Ask for the exact material test report, the standard and rating it uses, and a separate description of the areas covered by your installation.

Ballistic panels are warranted for the life of your vehicle. If a panel delaminates or fails inspection, we replace it.
